SMM – a True Business Strategy?

>

Social Media Marketing (SMM) has limitless marketing opportunity for any company, especially small businesses. By launching a social media campaign, a company instantly creates exposure to millions of people – and for FREE! Depending on how ambitious you are, SMM can catapult you to the top – there is no doubt about that. Social media done right is indeed intricate & time consuming, but at the same time, it can be monumental to a company’s heightened success. Remember that social media doesn’t mean simply creating a profile and updating your status once a day, it involves so much more including, but not limited to:

1. Profile optimization – apps, customization, powerful brand messaging, etc.
2. Growing your networks – searching for people within target audiences
3. Building strong business relationships – actually connecting with people, customizing invites & messages, building partnerships that are mutually benficial
4. Providing valuable/educational info – NO SALES PITCHES – (e.g. must know tips on… OR Top 5 ____ you need to know)
5. Once you provide valuable info, then drive action and give a free offer. Ask the person to visit your website, request a free report, attend a complimentary webinar, visit/follow your blog, etc.
6. Creating and maintaining a great social media reputation – credibility, do not spam, constant updates on a daily basis, overall professional & positive attitude

I have a clear passion for social media optimization and am convinced that it undoubtedly will continue to be the type of marketing that will put companies at the top. See you there!
